More than an experience, it's a mixture of flavors and personalities, where each dish tells a different story. Our restaurant "A Tasca da Quintinha" awaits you on a journey of smells, tastes and traditions, taking advantage of what the Serra de Arga has given us and gives us naturally.

Here we serve and make known the tradition and flavors of our people.

In the cellar, we carefully select Portuguese wines, paying special attention to quality versus price.

Every day, we offer regional delicacies typical of the region. Not forgetting the Carnes Minhotas (certified), or at weekends, the Cabritinho serrano roasted in a wood-fired oven and the Cozido caseiro with meat from the salgadeira, sausages from the Serra d'Arga and vegetables from our gardens

FISH:


  • BACALHAU COM BROA À MODA DA SERRA D`ARGA - Loin steak, covered with crumbled homemade bread, drizzled with good olive oil and garlic. It's served with fried potatoes and vegetables
  • BACALHAU À ESPANHOLA - Generous cod stew
  • BACALHAU À MODA DO LAGAR DO CARVALHAS - Cod roasted over the coals in hot olive oil and served with potatoes and vegetables
  • POLVO À MODE DO ANTIGO LAGAR DO CARVALHAS - Octopus that is roasted over the coals in very hot olive oil and served with potatoes and vegetables
  • SEA FISH ON THE GRILL OR IN THE OVEN - When the Âncora Sea is generous and gives us good fish, we make sure we always have it in our house.

  • TOMAHOKI DE BOI CASTRADO
    (Meat that has been matured for 30 days, grilled over hot coals and served with black beans, rice, fried plantains and braised ananas)
  • COSTELETÃO DE BOI CASTRADO
    (30-day matured meat, grilled over hot coals and served with a generous homemade bean and vegetable rice)
  • CHEF'S WIFE
    (Sirloin steak, cooked in a delicious homemade sauce based on beer and cream, served with egg and French fries)
  • SECRETOS DE PORCO PRETO
    (Grilled secretos served with fries and salad)
  • SERRA D`ARGA STYLE STEW
    (Traditional Portuguese stew, made with meat and sausages from the parishes of Argas. The potatoes and all the vegetables are picked from our gardens. Recipe available from November to April, or on request)



Wood oven roasts are always on our menu, and can also be found on certain days or on request:


  • THE CABRITO
    (Serrano goat, weighing approximately 6 kg, roasted in a wood oven and served with roast potatoes and rice. Recipe served at weekends or on request)
  • THE LITTLE PINK RIB
    (Minhota rib-eye roasted in a wood-fired oven and served with roast potatoes, salad and rice)
  • BLACK PORK NECK
    (black pork neck roasted in a wood oven and served with roast potatoes, salad and rice)
  • BLACK PORK SHANK
    Smoked pork shank, roasted in a wood oven and served with chestnut puree and roasted vegetables)



On Fridays, from the last weekend in October to the last weekend in March, you can't miss our "Caldo do Pote Dinners"
